Artist: George Houston One of a series of 12 prints by George Houston titled "Burns’ Country". 12 etchings from a limited edition of 25. Commentaries by Neil Munro attached to reverse of frame: A favourite evening walk of Burns was on a path which ran below his house and overhung the river. Its seclusion, its lovely sylvan vistas, its own serenity contributed to moods of poetry; there was paced on it the measure of Tam o’ Shanter, and experienced the adorable anguish which found expression in Mary in Heaven.
