One of five galleries in Edinburgh which together make up the National Galleries of Scotland.

Open Daily
10am - 5pm. Thursday until 7pm.

Closed 25 and 26 December only.

Open 1 January from 12noon - 5pm.Admission is free.

A charge is made for some exhibitions with free admission for 12 years and under.

Visitor Facilities:

The Scottish National Portrait Gallery has excellent facilities for disabled visitors, a shop stocked with exclusive gifts, and a cosy café.

There is wheelchair access to all parts of the Gallery with a specially adapted toilet and lift.
